Ryan Gedney

Dr. Ryan Gedney joins The Vascular Care Group’s Connecticut offices with a clinical focus in complex endovascular and open vascular surgery. He completed his integrated vascular surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where he also earned his medical degree and developed a reputation as one of the field’s most innovative emerging voices.

Dr. Gedney’s surgical expertise spans a broad range of vascular conditions. His work has been presented at leading national and international forums including the Vascular Annual Meeting, the Eastern Vascular Society, and the International Aortic Summit, and has been published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Annals of Vascular Surgery, and Surgical Clinics, among others.

What sets Dr. Gedney apart is an entrepreneurial drive that extends well beyond the operating room. He is the co-inventor of multiple patented and patent-pending technologies, including a novel endovascular aortic arch stent graft, a radiation-free intravascular imaging device, and a multi-directional dialysis sheath, and is co-founder of Anchor Medical, Inc., a medical device startup company. He holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from MUSC and a B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University.
